Buying a used car in Morocco: a practical checklist
A used-car purchase should start with the exact identity of the vehicle, its real condition and its documents—not with the advertised price alone.
Define the need and total budget
Set a total budget that includes inspection, paperwork, immediate maintenance, transport and a reserve for unknown repairs. Write down non-negotiable needs such as usage, transmission, fuel and parts availability before comparing adverts.
Confirm identity and available history
Match the make, model, year, registration details and available identification numbers with the documents. Ask what is genuinely known about mileage, maintenance, repairs and accidents; unknown information must remain clearly marked as unknown.

Inspect cold and test safely
